One can see easily at the first video that cruising up against the wind works very well. The driver can win height from the first hour comfortably, in contrast to kitesurfing, where this process needs very much practice. The wind-conditions during the record were hard, because we had on shore wind, what underscores the possibilities and strengths of kiteboats.

It is known zhat many kitesurfing-beginners got frustrated, because they were not able to learn the ability to cruise up against the wind. This aspect can fully be ignored with the kitesailing boats.

Here some information, that involves the use of kiteboats compared with kitesurfing:

- Spot-independence

Through the use of an additional-drive (for example a small electro-drive) kiteboats can be used at nearly any beach. In the practice, the driver can go out for about 100 meters on the sea with the boat before he starts the kite. A spot with flat water is not necessary.

- Security

The biggest dangers in kitesurfing originate with start and landing, i.e. in beach-proximity. These situations are avoided by the use of a additional drive.

- Comfort

Since the driver must not balance himself on a surfboard and doesn't also get automatically into the water, as soon as the kite (intends or involuntarily) goes down on the water, a much bigger goal-public is reached as through kitesurfing. Furthermore, the forces of the kitesdoes not go throught the body of the driver but directly into the boat. For less athletic drivers, it is very well-suited therefore.
